Description

Dr. Naida Michal Brandl, historian and archaeologist, with PhD in Modern history, has been working at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Chair of Judaic studies since 2007 (Research/teaching assistant 2007-2015, Research/teaching associate 2015-2017, and Assistant Professor since 2017). She is one of the main authors of the Judaic studies program. She teaches undergraduate courses: Jewish history until the end of the 18th century, Jewish history from the Emancipation and Haskalah, Jewish history in Croatia until 1918. Her graduate courses are: History of Judaic studies, History of the Jews in the Byzantine Empire, History of the Jews in the Eastern Mediterranean from the 16th until the 19th century. His research is focused on Jews in the Venetian Dalmatia in the 18th century, Jews in Croatia in the interwar period, and Jews in Croatia in postwar period, with the emphasis on property issues.
