Available to scholars based outside Europe who are current members of the Association for Jewish Studies (AJS) in good standing
NOTE: PhD Students should apply for free Student Membership using the following link: https://www.eurojewishstudies.org/student-membership/
To apply for Associate AJS membership, please complete the online form below.
If you are already a member or have been a member in the past, please contact the EAJS Administrator rather than applying again as your original membership record probably still exists. There is no need to apply again simply to change your membership type or if you have forgotten your password. Applying again may lead to you having multiple membership records under different user-ids/emails.
Please note that EAJS membership is not automatic and new membership applications do take a little time to process. Normally new membership applications are batched up and processed in the first week of the following month. However, with the EAJS congress registration deadline imminent, the EAJS admin team is working around the clock to accelerate this new membership processing. At the moment membership applications are being processed within a few days of being received but membership confirmation letters may take a little longer to send out. We ask you to be patient with the EAJS administrative staff.
Note that your AJS membership must be fully up to date in order to qualify for this category of EAJS membership.
When you click the Apply button at the bottom of the form, you will be directed to the subscription payment facility operated by WorldPay. Once your subscription has been paid you will receive an email advising of your login details. This provides provisional confirmation of your membership.
Please note that our membership year runs from 1 January to 31 December. Payments during a membership year will be assigned to that membership year unless the member is in arrears for previous years or is already fully paid up for that year. Members who are already fully paid up for the year that a membership payment is received will be credited for the following year. For members that are in arrears for more than 1 year, a payment for the current membership year and the previous membership year (i.e. a payment for 2 years of membership) will be considered sufficient to clear all prior arrears and return the membership to active good standing for the current year. New members who apply to join on or after 1 July of a membership year will pay their annual subscription upon joining, but it will be credited to the following year with the current year being waived.
