Description

Dr Michael T Miller is Researcher and Lecturer in Jewish Studies. His research has largely focused on Jewish mysticism and modern Jewish philosophy but increasingly he is concentrating on Black Judaism and the Hebrew Israelite movement. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals in all these fields. His first monograph, The Name of God in Jewish Thought (Routledge 2015) offers a philosophical examination of Jewish mystical traditions regarding the relationship of naming to identity, incorporating apocalyptic, rabbinic, and kabbalistic texts. He is currently working on his second book, about the thought and theology of Hebrew Israelite leader, Ben Ammi Ben Israel. He has taught Jewish Studies and Philosophy at several UK universities, including for three years at Liverpool Hope.

Russian Invasion of Ukraine

The EAJS condemns Russia’s unprecedented and barbaric aggression against Ukraine. We express solidarity with Ukraine, with its democratically-elected government and with its people.
