The Parkes Institute for the Study of Jewish/non-Jewish Relations, University of Southampton invites proposals from students currently enrolled on MA programmes (or equivalent) at British or Irish universities to participate in an informal one-day MA conference on 3rd June 2024.
We invite proposals for short (15-minute) presentations on current essay or dissertation work-in-progress to be presented in an informal environment on topics in the Institute’s fields of interdisciplinary interest (Jewish History and Culture, Jewish/non-Jewish Relations, Antisemitism, The Holy Lands/Palestine/Israel [ancient to contemporary]), all broadly understood.
The day will also include a tour of the Parkes Institute and some of the holdings of the University’s Special Collections, which are amongst the most important collections (on Anglo-Jewish history in particular) in western Europe.

Interested students should send a title and short proposal to Professor Neil Gregor (ng1@soton.ac.uk) by Monday 29 April 2024.
