Description
Dr. Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu attended the High School of Mathematics and Physics \"Costache Negruzzi\" in Iasi (where he graduated as valedictorian in 1987) and the Faculty of History and Philosophy of the University \"Al. I. Cuza\" (graduated in 1992 ). In 1993 he studied for an MA in Jewish Studies at Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies at the University of Oxford, and on 27 March 2004 earned his doctorate in Modern History at the History Faculty of the University \"Al. I. Cuza\" with a dissertation on \"Conversion and integration in Romanian society at the beginning of the modern age\", having as scientific advisor acad. prof. dr. Alexandru Zub.
University teaching career:
After graduation in 1992, Mihai Razvan Ungureanu was a professor at the School of Philology-History \"Mihai Eminescu\" from Iasi, then university professor of modern history at the Faculty of History of Romania \"Al. I. Cuza \"University of Iasi. Since 2007, Mihai Răzvan Ungureanu is professor of modern history at the Faculty of History of Romania at Bucharest University.
Dr Ungureanu has also served in a variety of senior political and government posts in Romania.
