The Academic Studies Press is pleased to introduce two recently published books in our ISGAP Critical Contemporary Antisemitism Studies series.
Redemptive Antisemitism after Ten/Seven by David Patterson examines the historical and ideological currents behind contemporary antisemitism in the aftermath of October 7. Drawing on decades of research, Patterson explores how antisemitism and anti-Zionism have become embedded in broader political, intellectual, and moral narratives and considers their implications for contemporary society.
College Zionists Confront the Abyss: The Aftermath of October 7 in Higher Education and Its Consequences for Progressive Politics by Cary Nelson turns specifically to higher education. Nelson examines the impact of October 7 on students, faculty, and universities in the United States and internationally, addressing campus activism, faculty politics, antisemitism and anti-Zionism, and the growing political polarization within academic institutions.
Together, the books offer complementary perspectives on the intellectual and institutional landscape that has emerged since October 7—from broader transformations in political and moral discourse to their consequences for universities and campus life.
