Call for Papers: DynaRel Annual Conference 2027 Neighboring Textual and Intellectual Traditions: Dialogues – Polemics – Translations, 1-3 February 2027, deadline for papers: 31 August 2026
The LOEWE Centre Dynamics of Religion (DynaRel) at Goethe University Frankfurt invites proposals for its first international annual conference, organised by Research Area 1, “Religious-Cultural Entanglements: Translation – Transfer – Mediality.”
The conference explores textual and intellectual neighbourhoods between Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. It focuses on dialogue, polemics, and translation, asking how religious traditions relate to one another through processes of exchange, appropriation, demarcation, and transformation.
Contributions from both early-career and established scholars are welcome.
