The Rothschild Foundation Hanadiv Europe is marking 25 years of support for Jewish culture and heritage in Europe with a series of videos focusing on the different areas in which we are active. We recently launched a video about Jewish Studies in Europe, which EAJS members may find interesting.
The video features Professor Irene Zwiep, Professor of Hebrew and Jewish Studies, University of Amsterdam and Professor Marcin Wodzinski, Professor of Jewish Studies and Literature, University of Wroclaw, in conversation with Dr Ruchama Johnston-Bloom. The conversation covers, among other topics, the unique profile of Jewish Studies in Europe, new research trends in the field, and how Jewish Studies can respond to the challenges of the moment.
