Funding objective / Areas of interest: German Historical Institute in Moscow supports young academics and Historians specialising in German history. The Institute awards scholarships and awards:

– To young scholars for using Moscow and St-Petersburg archives
– To lecturers in Universities for using resources of German History Institute in Moscow and of Moscow libraries and archives
– To Historians for using Russian State Military Archive
– Yearly tuition fee scholarships for MA and PhD students
– Annual awards for Final Year Dissertations and PhD (Kandidatskaya) Theses in German history or history of German-Russian relationships
– Grants for publishing projects.

Eligibility criteria: Scholarships for Doctoral Students (working on a Doktorskaya Degree):

– Citizens of Russia, Former Soviet Union, permanent residents of Russia
– Participant will have to take an active part in the research life of the Institute and write a final report.
