Funding objective / Areas of interest: The Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies is part of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. It supports scholarship and publications in the field of Holocaust studies, promotes the growth of Holocaust studies at American universities, seeks to foster strong relationships between American and international scholars, and initiates programs to ensure the ongoing training of future generations of scholars specializing in the Holocaust.
Type of funding available: Individual awards generally range up to nine months of residency; a minimum of three consecutive months is required. Stipends range up to $3,500 per month for the purpose of defraying local housing and other miscellaneous living expenses.

Eligibility criteria: Applicants must be affiliated with an academic and/or research institution when applying for a fellowship. Immediate post-docs and faculty between appointments will also be considered.

Application guidelines: The 2022–2023 Competition closed in November 2021.
All applications must consist of the following:
– A completed application form
– A project proposal not to exceed five single-spaced pages
– A curriculum vitae
– Three signed letters of recommendation that speak to the significance of the proposed project and the applicant`s ability to carry it out.
