Funding objective / Areas of interest: The Centre is an academic and social institution established in 2004 which aims to explore the heritage of Jewish communities in Lithuania and neighbouring countries. The Centre has initiated three support programmes in the field of Jewish Studies: Students Scholarships (grants for the most talented students of the region); Publications Programme (support for publications); International Research Support Programme (support for research projects). These three programmes are currently on hold, but new programmes together with expansion to other countries in Eastern and Central Europe are being considered.
