Description

Stephan Stach studied History and Western Slavic Languages in Leipzig and Warsaw (2002 bis 2008). From October 2008 until March 2009 he worked as a research fellow at the Simon Dubnow Institut for Jewish History and Cultre in Leipzig. From April 2009 until May 2014 he was a member of the research group \"Pathways of Law in Ethno-Religously Mixed Societies. Resources of Experience in Poland-Lithuania and its Successor States\" based at the Institute for Slavic Studies at Leipzig University and funded by the German Reseach foundation. His dissertation \"Nationalitätenpolitik aus der zweiten Reihe. Konzepte und Praktiken zur Einbindung nationaler und ethoreligiöser Minderheiten in Piłsudskis Polen (1926-1939)\" emerged in the framework of this research group. From August until December 2014 he was a research Fellow at the Institute for the History an Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO). From January 2015 until February 2016 he was a post doctoral researcher at the Aleksander Brückner Center for Polish Studies at Martin Luther University Halle. Since January 2016 he is a post doctoral researcher at the Institute for Contemporary History of the Czech Academy of Science in Prague.
