Description
Dr. Ruth Illman is Director of the Donner Institute for Research in Religious and Cultural History, and docent of Comparative Religion at Åbo Akademi University in Finland. She is committed to research on religion and the arts, interreligious dialogue (with special focus on creative forms of dialogue) and contemporary Judaism. Her work has been published and reviewed in journals such as Journal of Contemporary Religion, Studies in Interreligious Dialogue and Journal of the American Academy of Religion. Her recent books include Art and Belief: Artists Engaged in Interreligious Dialogue (Equinox Publications, 2012) and Theology and the Arts: Engaging Faith, co-authored with W.
