Description
Born in 1957 in East-Berlin I studied after having left former G. D. R. Jewish and Slavic Studies at Free University in Berlin, West mainly with Prof. P. Schäfer and Prof. M. Brocke. My PhD Thesis about Rabbi Michael Sachs (1808 Glogau -1864 Berlin) was published in 2007. Primarily interested in the religious history of Jews in Germany I was engaged as an associate of several institutions in Wolfenbüttel, Tübingen and Hamburg with editorial and research projects on Moses Mendelssohn, German-Jewish preachings during World War I and the history of \'Positiv-historical\' Judaism in Germany.
