Main research interests within the department include Rabbinic Judaism and its impact on the various denominations of modern Judaism; identity formation processes within early Judaism and Christianity; Yiddish literature; Yiddish autobiography; Jewish-Christian Relations in Interwar Lublin; Jewish rituals in popular culture; Jewish humour as a collective memory.
The Network for Jewish Studies (within Jewish Studies at Lund) is working to increase the collaboration between different departments at Lund University that conduct research and teaching that in some way affect Jewish studies.
